Mariupol, southeastern Ukrainian city, has been under siege for more than two weeks. It is the city where Russia last week bombed a maternity hospital and yesterday attacked a theater that hundreds of civilians were using as a shelter.
Whole city is slowly dying. Food is running out. Russian terrorists have stopped couple times humanitarian aid sent by Ukrainian government. Since Russians don’t stop shelling, it is impossible to evacuate people by a humanitarian corridor.
Local authorities say at least 2,400 people have been killed in Mariupol, although they acknowledge this is likely to be an underestimate. Many of the dead are being buried in mass graves.
We are sharing the story of the woman who managed to escape from the city alive.
